There's a unique appeal in the artificial wood-like pattern digital fabrication creates—clean, synthetic layers that mimic timber grain without ever touching nature. This lamp celebrates that engineered texture.

Inspired by the sugegasa, Japan’s traditional conical straw hat, it reimagines the hat’s wide brim and humble grace in a modern, minimalist form.

Built with zero supports, it’s a precise feat of digital design where geometry and balance do all the work.

When lit, the ribbed shade casts a soft, warm glow that gently fades upward, warming the room without overpowering it. It feels right at home as a quiet centerpiece in any space.

Second important point of this project is packaging and shipping. Lamps are shipped in a product of its own, tin canisters. You could use it after unboxing for whatever you like: rice or tea, maybe some miscellaneous stuff, or make a plant pot out of it, sky is the limit.
